Last night a junior high student was murdered inside his own dormitory. The cause of this tragedy, as the police investigated, is an argument between the victim and his roommate over a small matter of distribution of cigarettes. The murderer lost his control and stabbed the victim five times in the chest with a knife found inside the garbage bin outside the dorm. Appreantly the murderer was trying to destroy the evidences, however he has done a pretty lousy job. He was arrested the very next day, and confessed what he has done. Arguments happen everyday in our lives. However teenagers usually find it hard to stay calm during a conflict. Because of the horomons excreted, most of the times they lack the ability to solve problems peacefully. Most of the times the bad tempers will worsen the situation, and one side cannot control his/her emotions and do something ugly. We as teens should learn how to control our emotions and try to stay calm when necessary. 这么一大道题不给点分吗??。
Student gunman blamed for U.S. campus shooting BLACKSBURG, Va., April 17 (Reuters) - The gunman who massacred 32 people at Virginia Tech university was identified on Tuesday as a student from South Korea and a troubled loner whose behavior had sometimes alarmed those around him.As students and teachers grieved at a tearful memorial service led by President George W. Bush, police said Cho Seung-Hui, 23, acted alone on Monday in carrying out the deadliest shooting rampage in modern U.S. history."Those whose lives were taken did nothing to deserve their fate. They were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time," Bush told a somber crowd that packed the university's 10,000-seat basketball arena to capacity.Victims' friends and family members sobbed in each other's arms as speakers took the podium to comfort them. Many of the mourners wore maroon and orange, the school's colors. The shooting spree on a sprawling rural campus in southwestern Virginia renewed heated debate over gun control in the United States. It prompted foreign critics to rail against a "gun culture" protected by the Western world's most lenient gun-control laws. In Italy, the leftist Il Manifesto newspaper said the shooting was "as American as apple pie." Though Cho's motive remained unclear, a chilling portrait of the gunman emerged as details of the bloodbath surfaced.Cho, who immigrated to the United States 15 years ago and was raised in suburban Washington, D.C., killed himself after opening fire in classrooms where he apparently chained doors to prevent escape before cutting down 30 victims one by one.He used two handguns, which police on Tuesday confirmed he had purchased legally at a Virginia gun shop, and stopped only to reload. Police have stopped short of saying Cho was responsible for the shooting deaths of two other people two hours earlier at a dormitory on the campus, but said tests showed the same gun was used in both incidents. Before the shootings, Cho left a rambling note lashing out at "rich kids," "debauchery" and "deceitful charlatans" on campus, the Chicago Tribune reported, citing investigative sources.Steven Flaherty, Virginia state police superintendent, said there was no reason to suspect that Cho left a suicide note, but that police were reviewing his "considerable" writings.DISTURBING WRITINGS Neighbors, roommates, and teachers described Cho as quiet and withdrawn, but one former classmate said he was not surprised when he found out the shooter's identity."Looking back, he fit the exact stereotype of what one would typically think of as a 'school shooter' -- a loner, obsessed with violence, and serious personal problems," former classmate Ian MacFarlane wrote on an AOL blog site.AOL News posted on the Web two plays that MacFarlane, now an AOL employee, said were written by Cho. In one, characters talk of pedophilia and attack each other with chainsaws, and in the other disgruntled students discuss their desire to kill a teacher they compare to a "parasite." Lucinda Roy, an English professor, told CNN she became concerned after Cho's creative writing instructor came to her about disturbing passages he had written. She said she took his writings to university officials, who said nothing could be done, and referred him to the university's counseling services. The gunman's uncle, Sung Yeol Cho, appeared bewildered when reached by telephone at his cleaning business in Maryland."We're really shocked," he told Reuters. "I am learning about this from the news." The dead were found in at least four classrooms as well as a stairwell. Cho was found sprawled among them, having taken his own life, police said.Twelve students remained hospitalized in stable condition on Tuesday, officials said. The campus, where there are more than 25,000 full-time students, reeled with shock and grief. A crowd of several thousand filled most of the field in the neighboring football arena for the memorial service on a sunny spring day. Many students said they felt exhausted and numb. Some shook with sobs as the hymn "Amazing Grace" played."We're just trying to cope with everything," said Jack Nicholson, 21, of Leonardtown, Maryland. "It's just been crazy." University President Charles Steger and law enforcement officials on Monday defended their response to the shootings. Many students have expressed anger that they were not warned of any danger until more than two hours after the first attack at a dormitory -- and then only in an e-mail from the university.Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine said at a news 。
In a country which reveres children - especially since the one-child policy was introduced in the late 1970s - it is difficult to imagine how any atrocity could be worse than the premeditated murder of innocent toddlers. Since March 23, when a mentally-unstable doctor stabbed eight primary school children to death, each copycat attack has added to parents' fears. Related Articles In every case, the motive seems to have been some grievance against society, whether a failed marriage or an unjust seizure of property. Traditionally, suicide has been the most dramatic form of attention-grabbing protest. The ritual suicide of Qu Yuan, the archetypal virtuous minister from the Warring States period who killed himself to protest against corruption of his era, is celebrated each year in the Dragon Boat Festival. Over the past few months, a number of people have set themselves on fire in reaction to having their homes were taken from them. But the kindergarten murders show a new trend in which protesters are lashing out at others, picking the most vulnerable as their targets. No country has ever gone through such a dramatic transformation, both socially and economically. But while China has scaled dizzy heights, it is clear that it is also now experiencing loneliness, alienation and violence similar to that seen in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. "China has changed. And as it has changed, lots of Chinese were unable to find where they fitted into the world," says Teng Wuxiao, a professor of Social Development at Fudan University. "These people tend to get angry and attack each other for very simple reasons, sometimes for no reason at all. They have lost their basic respect for life. Before, life was simple and a murder was a very serious matter. "Now, people talk about killing all the time, making it sound easy." Life on the margins of Chinese society has always been unfair and difficult, but it is near impossible to imagine the rage that must have driven these men to slit the throats of young children. Clearly, something is very rotten in China.。

think it was handled as well as can be expected. The leader ship at VT can not plan for every possible contingency. I have no doubt that the top priority of all decision makers was the safety of the students. Of course hindsight will allow us to evaluate and criticize every decision in this chain of events, but these decision makers did not have the luxury of time, they were caught in the middle of a situation that I am guessing none of you would be willing to be put in.
As for a lockdown。you can't lock down a university of 30k students, especially one in which many of the students are commuters. That school is bigger than the town in which it is located。we do not expect the police to shut down an entire town during a violent incident.
School is not only a place we can learn something, but also is a small society.
"School videncen"is a popular word in the school during this years. And school videncen have many influence for us too. Many of us suffer form bully of school-bullies nowadays.
So,boycott school videncen is what everyone in school should do.Teachers should have a sense of responsibility and carefully found the things which happened in your students and then timely educate and protect them.As we should have a sense of justive and also have a heart of fighting against with evil.Don't be feared,it just like a spring, you weak it will strong, you strong it will weak.
I think if we unite together to fight against with evil. The school will peace and harmonious again!

Do you know that our school life could be dangerous if we are not careful enough? For example, one day, two students ran after each other in the hallway., one of them down and hurt his leg because of the wet floor. Therefore, he had to stay in hospital for two week. So I think students should always walk but not run in the hallways. And the teachers had better keep an eye on the students after class and stop them from running. At last, I hope all the students should pay attention to their safety in school.。
