Five Consumption Habits of College Students
According to an authoritative research report, Chinese college students exhibit five consumption habits nowadays.
The tide phenomenon is often observed in the consumption behavior of college students. In other words, a novel thing or a new brand can easily create a wave of popularity on campus. For example, in terms of education and training, there was the MBA craze, the TOEFL craze and the certification craze; in terms of consumption, there were fads on automatic tape recorders, mobile phones and games.
Certain products that become popular due to their uniqueness eventually become commonly available. College students are usually fond of distinctive, novel and fashionable products. However, as a product's popularity rises, it becomes commonplace. 57.7% of college students say that they “prefer to buy unique goods,” while only 22.9% say “My clothes are most stylish.”
Price still comes foremost for college consumers. Between fashion and economy, most college students still opt for the latter. When they are choosing from various products, moderate pricing is key. This characteristic can also be observed in sales promotion, with discount, free delivery and free gift with purchase being the most effective promotional methods.
Emotional consumption is also an essential element. Most college students consider economic support indispensable in maintaining good relations with friends and with their dates. At present, a college student's expense on entertainment, social activities and movies averages 144 yuan per semester, whereas gifts cost 98 yuan. The report also shows that even when it is hard to make ends meet, they often choose to borrow money from others rather than forgo the needed emotional consumption.
Waste
Hi today I'm here to talk to you all about waste, just to give you
some scary facts about it and why it is effecting our lives and in a bid to help you people to consider your lifestyle.
Firstly I'm going to talk about what actually happens to the stuff we chuck away.
When the bin men come and empty the bins they take it to the rubbish
dump.
After that it gets transported to big incinerators and burned, this is a problem.
It is one of the fundamental principles of science that matter can
never be destroyed; it can only ever be transformed.
So this stuff, once burned it the incinerators still does exsist, but
instead of seeing it,
we just breath it in. Incineration is the process where our refuse is
burned using a
concoction of toxic fumes also a lot of the stuff is ejected into the
water we will later go onto drink, as it has been discharged through the sewerage system.
The heat of the incinerator furnace vaporises some of the hazardous

Lavish spending could be extremly harmful to the young generation, especially when there is no proper guide or education. So it is vital for the school to set up new rule to forbid students from bringing luxury items to school.
To start with, in most cases students cannot afford such luxery items and those things are not essential equipment in their lives. For example, it is not neccessary to bring the expensive high tech products to school.School is the place for study instead of entertainment. What's more, if some students start to bring with them the luxury items, it may make those who are from the less wealthy families feel uncomfortable or even inferior. In the long run, the problem of unwise comparision is going to destory the atmosphere in the compus.Last but not least, it is difficult to keep the luxury items safe in the school. In order to make sure that the property of students are well-protected, schools have to spend lots of time and efforts. And we can see that is not reasonalbe. After all, schools are places only for teaching and learning.
All in all, it is both reasonable and necessary for the school to eatablish rule to stop the students from taking their expensive luxury things to school.

Reduce waste on campus
It is well known that economy is a traditional virtue, but nowadays the phenomenon of waste on campus is really serious. In the washing room, many a student forgets to turn off the pipe with the water running all along. And many students often leave the classroom or dormitory with the light on in the empty room.
Great attention should be paid to the waste on campus. On one hand, the waste has already caused a great loss of precious resources, such as water and electricity. On the other hand, little by little, those students who are accustomed to it will forget the hardship they had before and will not cherish today's happy life. Therefore, it is high time that we took actions to reduce the waste on campus.
First of all, we should stop wasting water when we bath, or clean faces, or wash clothes and dishes. The reason is that there is a great shortage of water in the world. Secondly, when go shopping, we should buy what we really need. Thirdly, we should turn off the light when we leave dorms or classrooms so as to save electricity as much as possible. Only in this way can we reduce the waste on campus .
Reduce Waste on Campus As is known to all, waste on campus has become a more and more serious problem. We can easily see many students dump a lot of food in the garbage can. Some students spend thousands of yuan buying fashionable clothes and so on. The negative effects of waste can be shown in the following aspects. In the first place, it makes some students dependent on their parents for money, which is harmful to their development. If they don't learn to support themselves, they will be “useless people” when they graduate. In the second place, it is not easy for our parents to arrange for our schooling. Last but not the least important, there is no denying the fact that our country is still poor. There are many people who cannot go to university and many poor people still need our help. As far as I am concerned, I should set a good example to reduce waste on campus. First of all, I will refrain from wasting anything, from food to stationery. What's more, I'm determined to call on more schoolmates to fight against waste. Only through these measures can we hope to reduce waste on campus. (196 words)。
I was born on March 15, 2001. So March 15 is my birthday. I began to give a birthday party in . Later on I have my birthday party every year.
Last Saturday I had my birthday party at home. A few of my friends came to my party. Everyone bought me a birthday present, and they all said, "Happy birthday to you." Then I said "Thank you very much for giving me the birthday presents."
On my birthday, my mother made my birthday cake and cooked some delicious food. My friends helped me to put the candles on the big cake. Then we began the party.
I had a good time that day. We sang and played games, and ate delicious food. How happy I was!
This strategy can be transferred to the web virtual environment and is most effective when applied with a focus on the brand personality. A substantial segment of the current online luxury consumer population are busy professionals that want to enjoy the convenience of fitting online shopping within their hectic schedules. Therefore they desire a relaxed atmosphere and sound and music satisfies this need. Chanel.com again fulfils this through providing background tempo instrumental music throughout its product presentation pages. Smell is a challenging human sense to transfer to the Internet virtual environment but technological advancement has made it possible for online consumers to have a whiff of scent while shopping on the Internet. A scent-smelling software called Digiscent now makes this possible through a speaker-like device attached to a computer. Luxury brands can use this device to sell goods that rely heavily on the sense of smell such as perfumes and cosmetics. The absence of the sensory element of smell online can also be overcome through offering samples of products from the website to interested e-shoppers just as is done in offline stores. A first purchase of a scent-based product usually leads to regular future purchases as a result of an affiliation with the scent. Therefore, there is a high probability of repeat online purchases of scent-based products. Scent can also be easily recalled and affiliation with a particular scent is hardly outgrown. Usability is the backbone of a website and crafts the online experience through navigation and interactivity. It is also an essential element for a high-impact experience and can contribute substantially to a luxurious online atmosphere. Luxury consumers expect reliable and fast service and at the same time, more value to be added to their online experience through a high level of interactivity. The utilisation of easy navigational tools such as breadcrumbs, full screen mode and new window tools as well as several program choices i.e. Adobe Acrobat or Word versions of the same document not only makes the browsing experience effortless but will likely encourage the browser to click through several pages on the website. It is a surprise that several luxury brands such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Dior and Jimmy Choo do not provide the ecustomer---------------------------------------------------。
My Opinion about University Students' Employment
Nowadays, the university students' employment attracts more and more attentions from the government and the society. Due to the financial crisis in the past two years, a growing number of undergraduates cannot find satisfying jobs after their graduation, and a part of them become the “Ant-like Class” with a hard life in such super cities as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Life pressure, parents needing supporting and high house price are like three mountains on them.
In my opinion, the students' employment and living difficulties can only be solved together by the students themselves and the society. The university students should study practical abilities hard and the society should give more opportunities to them.
