      此外，说 We would be grateful if you would send your payment.就有假客气之嫌。要想表达诚挚的协商，不妨这样说 I would be grateful if you could settle this account within the next… days.

      另外， 当遇到最后一次催款时，也不宜说 we should be very sorry to have to take such a step after a long and friendly connection with you.这样给人冗长、态度虚伪的感觉，既然有长久的友谊关系，又何必要撰写这样的催款函呢！
